Austin Public Library

I headed out to my neighborhood public library for this week’s post. The Austin Public Library is a place my son and I frequently visit. His favorite area in it is, of course, the kids area. I decided to get a library card ever since reading became a bedtime habit, we needed new stories. But books are just one of the many things to look for at the library!

Getting a library card is an easy process that is free for Austin residents. You do, however, need to visit the library in person to acquire one,  here are some of the documents you will need to bring. Once you have gotten your card, you can start checking out materials for yourself and your kiddos! They have books, DVD’s, computer access and meetings to help with things such as resumes, ESL and much more.

Let’s get to the kids part. The kid area at the library is decorated with stuffed animals, paintings and kid furniture to make it more appealing. they have different games at each table so they can play and learn. They also have tons of books, in different languages, for different ages and many educational DVD’s, as well as children movies. Story time is a must and it is also offered in different languages at certain branches! So check out the upcoming eventsstorytime, and search for the location nearest to you.
